Meet Oddie is an artistic AR adventure where art, technology and flora meet. Residential tower Flores and its spectacular façade artwork Sympoiesis are the central point of Hortus district and are a lasting legacy after the Floriade. Oddie will take you to a botanical world where the masterplan of Floriade Expo 2022, Flores, and Sympoiesis are brought to life through Augmented Reality.

Meet Oddie can be accessed via your Smartphone. By scanning the QR-code, which is displayed all over the Floriade Expo, you will get transported to the webpage you are currently on. Scroll up and click on Meet Oddie to start the experience.
Oddie is a dragonfly that will guide you through the Augmented Reality (AR) experience. His name is derived from the latin Odonata which is the category of insects dragonflies belong to. You can catch Oddie by tapping on him in the AR-experience, this will transport you to the Sympoiesis website, where you can learn more of the artwork.
Meet Oddie is based on WebAR. Scanning the QR code displayed at the Floriade Expo with the camera of your smartphone will transport you to the Meet Oddie experience which can then be watched in Augmented Reality (AR) on your device. Make sure to allow access to your smartphone camera in the process.
Web-AR means that you can experience interactive Augmented Reality (AR) content directly through the use of any existing website and web browser without downloading an app. Simply scan the QR code (or go to the URL written below the QR code) and experience it yourself. For a seamless user experience, please make sure that your smartphone software (the so-called Operating System) is up-to-date.
Most modern smartphones with Android and iOS (Apple) support webAR. If your smartphone’s operating system is up-to-date then webAR is most of the time supported in your native browser. Also make sure to limit the amount of apps that running simultaneously.
Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, Microsoft Edge and Brave are all known to natively support the features required for WebAR. For a seamless user experience, please make sure that you have up-to-date software on your device.
Browsers supporting webAR on Apple devices with iOS 14.3+ are: Safari, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge but also apps like Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
For Android devices the webAR support (when up-to-date) are: Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, Microsoft Edge and Brave.

To experience Meet Oddie, scan one of the QR codes at the sign near the foot of the Florus tower or type www.sympoiesis.nl/AR into your browser. The QR code will lead you to the AR experience.
Most smartphones support QR code scanning through the use of the back-facing camera. Hold your smartphone camera close enough to the QR code and follow the link that appears. Bear in mind that if you use a QR code app the app itself can have an internal browser that may or may not support webAR.
